معالم أثرية تضاء في لبنان باللون الأزرق احتفاء باليوم العالمي للتوعية بالتوحد
بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للتوحد، وبمبادرة من جمعية الأهل لدعم التوحد في لبنان تمت مشاركة لبنان بالحملة العالمية للإضاءة بالأزرق حيث يعد اللون الأزرق رمزاً عالمياً للتوحد، فشعت باللون الأزرق كلّ من قلعة صيدا البحرية وقلعة جبيل وقلعة طرابلس ومزار سيدة لبنان في حريصا ومركزالصفدي الثقافي ومعرض رشيد كرامي الدولي في طرابلس ونادي جعيتا كاونتري كلوب ودير مار مارون الرويس بهدف تثقيف المجتمع باضطراب التوحد وتسليط الضوء على هذه القضية المهمة
فكان ترحيب وتعاون من البلديات كافة أما في صيدا فكان دعم و حضور لرئيس بلدية صيدا الأستاذ المهندس محمد السعودي والسيدة عرب كلش رئيسة لجنة النشاطات في بلدية صيدا ورئيسة مؤسسة المؤاساة وفعّاليات من صيدا وتلاميذ جامعة الحريري في المشرف ورئيسة وأعضاء الجمعية السيدة غادة مخول و السيدة ماريا أبي نصر و حضور الأولاد والأهالي والأصدقاء وأشارت رئيسة الجمعية في لبنان غادة الحايك مخول أن التوحد هو اضطراب عصبي يؤثر على التواصل والسلوك والعلاقات الاجتماعية، وهو يتجاوز كل الحدود، والأسرع انتشارا في العالم، فيصيب 1 على 68 طفلا اي ما يقارب 70 مليون شخص في العالم مذكرة بأهمية نشر التوعية عن التوحد والتشخيص والتدخل المبكر للمساعدة بتحسن الحالة وتعدّ "الحملة العالمية بالإضاءة بالازرق" جزءاً من جهود عالمية بادرت بها جمعية "أوتيزم سبيكس"، وهي منظمة لا تبغى الربح تدعو إلى نشر البحوث وزيادة التوعية حول اضطرابات التوّحد. وتتجسّد هذه الجهود العالمية التي انطلقت منذ 2010 في إضاءة معالم شهيرة باللون الأزرق خلال اليوم العالمي للتوحّد بهدف تسليط الضوء على هذه القضية وشكرت المؤسسات الاعلامية كافة لتغطيتها بالبث المباشر أو بتخصيص مقابلات وفقرات عن اليوم العالمي للتوحد كما نوّهت بالشكر الى كل من ساهم بانجاح هذا الحدث بالأخص شركة باكوس للسيد روجيه باخوس لتقديمه الاضاءة والسيد عصام أبي نصر من شاتو رويس وشركة رايت كليك و شركة ميديا غروب وتلاميذ الجامعة اليسوعية لجهودهم للقيام بهذا العمل من اضاءة وتصوير وإعلام
On the eve of World Autism Month, Saida Sea Castle, Lebanese ancient landmark built in the 13th century, was majestically shining in blue in support of the international "Light It Up Blue" campaign for the first time in Lebanon, to celebrate the World Autism Awareness Day and Autism Awareness Month with the presence of Saida President of Municipality Mr Mohammad el-Saoudi with several members and the presence of Al-Moasat Association President and students, AAA President Mrs Ghada Makhoul and Treasurer Mrs Maria Abi-Nasr, President of Zonta Club of Beirut Ms. Magida Samara and Mrs Frida Bidaoui, Mrs Costantina Ghazzaoui and several friends and family.

- March 31st at Saida Sea Castle, with the presence of Saida Municipality's President Mr. Al-Saoudi,
- April 1st at Our Lady of Lebanon, Harissa Sanctuary, with the presence of Mr Ghassan Saliba and Miss Lebanon Valerie Abou Chacra,
- April 1st at Jbeil Citadel at 8pm,
- April 2nd at Safadi Cultural Foundation, Tripoli, with the presence of Mrs. Violette K. Safadi, VP of Safadi foundation.
One in 68 children is diagnosed with Autism, making it over 70 million people having Autism in the World, with more than 90% of Adults with Autism as unemployed or underemployed.
The city of Sidon is located on the Mediterranean coast of Lebanon. This ancient Phoenician city has been of great religious, political and commercial value; it is said to be inhabited since 4000 B.C. During the 13th century, the Crusaders built Sidon's Sea Castle as a fortress on a small island connected to the mainland by a narrow 80m long roadway. The island was formerly the site of a temple to Melqart, the Phoenician version of Heracles. The beauty of the Castle can be seen in old illustrations of it; however, after bearing several wars, it has been damaged and renovated several times. It was partially destroyed by the Mamluks when they took over the city from the Crusaders, but they subsequently rebuilt it and added the long causeway.
