Special Education Consultant, Master degree in psychosomatic support, teacher Trainer and Author.
Nada is a teacher trainer at CERD (Center of Research and Development) as well as an internship supervisor of students working on a Master in Special Education at the Lebanese University. She is the holder of a Master in Psychosomatic Support and a Post-graduate Diploma in special education from AUB (the American University of Beirut).
She is also the author of “C’est un enfant lui aussi” (2004), a book that portrays the main issues parents deal with while raising a child with special needs.
Nada is likewise the creator and author of a series of children’s books entitled “Living with differences”. Each book introduces a disability and two books won the Anna Lindh Foundation Prize for “Best Fiction Books for Children with Special needs”. The books were published by the Syndicate of Special Education Teachers in Lebanon in which Nada has been a member of the executive committee for 6 consecutive years. Her latest book was the result of an expression and artistic workshop that she organized for 12 students with learning disabilities “Stories by us and about us”.
Nada is also Parents' Support Consultant of the Autism Awareness Association since 2015.
Besides being a strong public advocate of students with special needs and their families, Nada has been a Preschool Coordinator.
Moreover, she has been a guest speaker at various regional conferences and seminars whether in the field of special education or as an author of inclusive books and she participated at TED Talk in 2016 at NDU University. |
